Scions

Scions

the little moment it took
to leave me alone as i grew
holding hands with the earth(worms), kissing soil,
the little moment it took

as scions grew, scions grew
upon the maw, in freezing poets’ tongues,
of the dagger-shapes of voice(box) dripping
as scions grew, scions grew

like neural ravines on this ancient wall:
our bodies a testament to time and stars,
a continued existence owed to s(pill)ing
like neural ravines on this ancient wall.

the little moment it took
as scions grew, scions grew
like neural ravines on this ancient wall
splitting the seed in two.
