disembodied heads

disembodied heads

we’re disembodied heads
on disembodied eyes

shouting disembodied words
in disembodied time

expressing disembodied thoughts
in disembodied lines

in this embodied space
how could i think of you as more?

you’re disembodied, among the tears
in space, you’re this embodied;

your disembodied face
falls through: is that a space,
a dis(em(bodied)) trace?

were this embodied space, will we
be this em(bodied), too?

in these embodies weighed
our disembodied ways(~!)?

you’re either smirk or shade,
a disembodied gaze,
in this embodied space

you’re neither shirk nor sway
in this embodied place

in this embodied space,
why do i think of you as more?

i must be this embodied more,
you’re either sour, or sore, or soar,

you’re this embodied, disembodied,
embodied cower, core, and cœur.

  2. “You’re disembodied birth or death,
    of a disembodied ray,

    In a sky of falls,
    you’re disembodied in ways,

    you’re a disembodied virtue,
    in my heaven’s underworld

    you’re either hushed or vitriol,
    in my disembodied hell

    You’re immortal drinking ambrosia,
    in my disembodied paradise

    You’re either dangerous or innocuos
    in my disembodied time

    you’re fresh and alive,
    from disembodied rain.”

    Your poem is amazing!

    I hope you enjoy mine!
